CARING INSTRUCTIONS FOR KOKEDAMA OR MOSS BALL

Thank you so much for purchasing a Planta Mamita Kokedama! To ensure the longevity of your Kokedama, we suggest you follow these 8 simple steps:

  1. Find out about what type of plant you have (check the nametag!) see if it is an indoor or outdoor plant and act accordingly:

Indoor plant – minimum water once a week.

Outdoor plant – depending on weather, once or twice a week.

  1. If your Kokedama is looking down, try putting it in a warm spot (but not with direct sunlight or too close to a heater/radiator) for at least a day.
  2. You should try to ‘bathe’ them once a week if they are indoors or every 2-3 days if they are outdoors.
  3. To bathe your kokedama, you can do two things:
  • Place the kokedama in a plate and add about a cupfull of water then just leave the plant do all the work!
  • Again, place the kokedama on a plate and water the base of the plant.

If there are any dry leaves, make sure to remove them to keep your plants looking nice and fresh :)

  1. Try not to move the plant too frequently, as they don't really like having to readjust to light or humidity. A good place to put your kokedama is in a humid room like kitchen or bathroom but far from the heater.
  2. Take care of the plant, (haha sounds cliché) remember, they are living beings, and need water and light to survive!
  3. They do look really good hanging on a wall or just as a centerpiece, so never be afraid to experiment!
  4. Every 4 months you can put some general fertilizer dissolved in the water so that the plant can feed with nutrients.
